The 118th Lecture on Regional Culture in Boso

◎ A Female Student Who Studied in "Manchuria" Ms. Shizuko Kawana ( Formerly a junior high school teacher, lives in Minamiboso City. Member of Japan Children's Literature Association and Japan Poets' Club ) Former junior high school teacher, resident in Minami-Boso City, member of Japan Children's Literature Association, member of Japan Poets' Club .
We would like to share an easy-to-understand story of an experience we heard from a woman born in 1925, before her death.

She was two years old when her family took her to Northeast China (later "Manchukuo").
Her father served as chief of police there, and she devoted herself largely to her studies.
In the meantime, the Japanese Empire expanded its foreign wars throughout Asia ・ and the Pacific, including the Manchurian Incident, the declaration of the founding of "Manchukuo," the Rumizo Bridge Incident (the start of the Sino-Japanese War), the Nanjing Incident, and the start of the Pacific War.
Then, with the defeat of the war in the 20th year of Showa (1945), each member of the family would have a tumultuous or strange fate. How did the war change the thoughts and actions of very ordinary people, and what disasters did it bring to conquerors and conquered, to each other? At a time when tragic battle damage abroad is reported daily, what do you think of the events in mainland China a few decades ago?
