Three Women Artists Explore Possibilities of Expression on Paper
Tomoko Fuse, Noriko Abe, Ayumi Shibata
Paper, the most familiar yet "god-like" material with infinite possibilities of form.
Paper has also been a "yorishiroi" (a deity's dwelling place) to which people have entrusted various thoughts and feelings since ancient times.
In this exhibition, we will present the world of works by three female artists who explore different approaches to paper, such as "origami," "sculpture," and "paper cut-outs,"
each using creative techniques that overturn the conventional image of paper.
